MIX 030 - RAMA PARWATA

The works of Rama Parwata, the Melbourne-based percussionist and sound artist, are intense, intricate, and wholly uncompromising in their approach. From Whitehorse, Kilat, Rinuwat, and co-curation for Make It Up Club, Rama’s work is full of life and self-determination. He’s joined us for an hour of polyrhythms, free jazz, death metal, and Viper.
My legs are all muddled, trampling the sky. I can see the ribbons falling out, still streaming.

MIX 029 - JESS SNEDDON

Thoughtful, considered, and daring, calling on forgotten classics and weird B-sides, but remaining constant and reliable with the most recent experiments and evolutions across music. Jess Sneddon is one of our favourite DJs, and we hope she is the same for you.

I can feel that sharp nose-sting from the air. Do you think it’ll last longer this year?

MIX 028 - MARIA W HORN

Swedish electro acoustic composer and experimentalist Maria W Horn presents a careful study of her current influences, embedded in folklore, mythology, and ritual.

Far-ranging, immersive, and nostalgic. The steering ship is falling apart, yards wide
The mussels, in the floorboards that they’ve made their home, are crying out
We can see the smoke signals from here

MIX 027 - MALVERN BRUME

An intimate glimpse seemingly into Malvern’s own home, complete with warmups, soundchecks, voices from the other room. A straying mess from left to right, shut the blinds, turn the telly on.

MIX 026 - ORB

All-encompassing and amorphous, challenging and chaotic, frantic entry. Very happy to welcome Orb to the Outhouse series. The frame’s adjusted, the angle is locked, but the keystroke is maligned and there’s weight in the words.
