ORB
Orb is a Meanjin-based DJ, a solo project started in 2018 that is all-encompassing and amorphous, challenging and chaotic, frantically immersive. Exploring tensity and abstraction, and emphasising sound as texture, Orb combines expansive and far-reaching genres with a hushed subtlety and deceptive simplicity.
Outside, the weather is curdling. Amongst that half-waking state, where sounds hang like dreams, the swirl maintains and poses itself in a dull, blackened heap.
